“Every sip could be your last.” A strategy & bluffing tabletop card game where vampires drink, scheme, and survive in a ruined village.

Atmosphere & Hook (click to expand)
The silent village reeks of iron and despair. Once a secret laboratory for humans and vampire hunters, it now lies in ruins, crowded only by abandoned “experiments” — the villagers. Starved vampires gather here to feed. Each sip risks poison, each choice risks your rivals. Higher the risk, higher the profit — until it kills you.

The revised edition preserves escalating chain-drinking and the temptation of one more sip. Play solo against two computer opponents, or with 2–4 people sharing one device. Chinese interface, original illustrated art, optional sound, and automatic local saves.

The in-game handbook is the authoritative v2 rule set: 40 BP to win, 12 TOX to be eliminated, a single delegated sip with 1/2/3-card risk-and-reward choices, automatic card recycling, and an 18-round dawn limit. Multiplayer here means same-device play, not remote rooms.

The PDF and sections below document the original tabletop prototype (v1). Some thresholds, items, and timing differ from the playable browser edition.

Objectives

  • 2 Players: First to 50 BP (Blood Points), or make opponent reach 15 TOX (Toxins).
  • 3–6 Players: First to 60 BP, or last vampire standing (others eliminated at 20 TOX).
  • Creative Mode: Customize BP/TOX thresholds and NGCA ratios to tune difficulty.

Core Ideas (NGCA • Chain Drinking • Designate)

  • NGCA stack decides blood type per villager: N (Normal), G (Garlic), C (Convert), A (Antidote).
  • Chain Drinking increases BP each sip (1, 2, 3, …) but if the stack judges Vampire (V) or Garlic (G), you take TOX equal to the current sip count and the chain stops.
  • Designate lets you push the current sip to another player (they draw 1–3 cards before judgment), sharing risk/reward.
  • Forfeit trades your sip for 2 Operation or 2 Item cards — tempo vs. information vs. control.

Judgment Rule (click to expand)

Blood Type Judgment from the visible NGCA stack:

  • If Garlic (G) appears → Garlic blood.
  • Else compute C−A: if C−A ≥ 2 → Vampire blood.
  • Otherwise → Human blood.

Chain Drinking (unbounded):

  • 1st sip: if H → +1 BP; if V/G → +1 TOX and stop.
  • 2nd sip: if H → +2 BP; if V/G → +2 TOX and stop.
  • …
  • n-th sip: if H → +n BP; if V/G → +n TOX and stop.

Risk ramps up with each sip; a single G/V flips all greed into TOX.

Risk vs Reward

  • Greedy: Keep sipping to ramp BP fast → explosive TOX risk.
  • Cautious: Early stop or Designate to others → safer tempo but slower points.
  • Forfeit: Trade a sip for card advantage (operations or items) and information.
Chain drinking risk curve

Chain-Drinking: BP rewards ramp 1→2→3…, but a V/G hit gives TOX equal to current sip count.

Designate Details (click to expand)
  • You may assign the current sip to another player.

  • The designated player chooses to draw 1–3 Operation cards before judgment:

    • Draw 3: bold and risky; highest chance to trigger V/G.
    • Draw 1: safer probe.
  • Often used when the stack feels on the knife-edge (C−A = 1/0).

Item Effects (Full Text)

Spy
  • On your turn: peek 1 stacked card of a chosen villager.
  • When designated to drink: you may use Spy before drawing to preview risk.
  • Character variants may allow peeking 2 cards.
Detox
  • On your turn: reduce your TOX by 1.
  • When designated: may be used to neutralize partial toxins.
Slay
  • Target a villager eliminated by G: gain all hand cards (Operation/Item) from that villager’s stack.
  • Target a villager judged V: gain +2 BP but take +1 TOX.
Blood Loot
  • Use on another player: they −4 BP, you +1 TOX.
  • Usable once per turn, during your turn.

Special Rules

Villager Resupply
When all villagers have been judged V or G, immediately add +1 new villager from reserve.
Pushing V-blood Villagers
Players may agree whether revealed V-blood villagers can be pushed (designated) to others — allowed by default.
Garlic Restriction
Villagers judged G are eliminated and cannot be drunk by anyone.

Physical Deck Composition (Finite Cards)

To keep tension with finite physical stock:

CardCountRatio
Normal (N)408
Garlic (G)153
Convert (C)408
Antidote (A)255
Total1208:3:8:5
Shuffle & Reset Rules (click to expand)
  • Slay on G-blood: When a player uses Slay on a G-blood villager, shuffle all discards + remaining draw pile back into a fresh Operations pile; that player also gains +1 extra Item (reward for risk).
  • Major Reset: If the table stalls with no H outcomes on the field, refresh all villager slots, shuffle all discards into a new draw pile, and restart the deck cycle.

Playtesting & Iteration

Early prototype used pre-placing operation cards on villagers — functional but too deterministic. After feedback, we redesigned to on-turn draws and Chain-Drinking:

“This feels like gambling. Every extra sip makes my heart race.” “Finally, there’s real tension between greed and caution.”

Quickstart (One Page)

  1. Choose villager → draw 2 Operation cards to that villager’s stack.
  2. Judge blood by NGCA rule (G → Garlic; else C−A≥2 → Vampire; else Human).
  3. If Human: gain BP = sip count, then continue or stop.
  4. If Vampire/Garlic: take TOX = sip count, chain ends; G also eliminates the villager.
  5. Optionally Designate a sip to someone else (they draw 1–3), or Forfeit to draw 2 Op / 2 Item.
  6. End Turn.
